Ticket Experience and Pricing Consultation
The Villa FAB in their final action, before the club is recognifiguring it, has had three ticketing consultation meetings with the club - spanning from February to May 2025.
Thank you to all the supporters that took their time to fill in the two surveys on both season ticket monthly payments and the club's ticket reselling system.
Your input helped us prevent the club introducing an arrangement fee on the monthly payment plan (which could have seen your season ticket price go up a further 5% and over). Also, it helped achieve the very positive result of removing the unfair 20% fee charged when you wanted to resell your ticket, if you can't make a game.
Champions League Knockout Rounds
In the final FAB meeting of 2024, Villa FAB proposed to the club that non-season ticket holders who had purchased all four Champions League group stage matches at premium prices should be rewarded for their loyalty during the knockout rounds. It was suggested that these supporters be given access to season ticket holder pricing for the knockout stage matches.
While the idea was positively received by club representatives during the meeting, it was seemingly vetoed at a later stage.
For the Club Bruges last-16 match & PSG quarter-final at Villa Park, supporters who had previously booked Champions League games were offered improved booking windows - at least providing some acknowledgment of their prior purchasing history in the tournament.
Villa Trust & Lions Clubs Request Price Freeze
The Aston Villa Supporters Trust, Villa Lions Clubs and Aston Villa Independent Supporters Club have sent a combined letter to the club requesting a price freeze on both season and match days tickets for the 2025/26 season. You can read the letter here.
Due to this stance by three members on the FAB, the group voted to see if the rest of the group supported the notion - and the result was unianimous to do so.
While the club did rise prices by 5%, at least the FAB could secure a price freeze for all Villa fans Under-21 and below.
Your Ticketing Experience
Ticket prices have risen significantly in recent seasons, yet the process of purchasing, using, and resolving issues with tickets has not improved to match. Whether it’s struggling to get through to the ticket office by phone, navigating a difficult website, or waiting for responses on social media or email, fans have consistently faced frustrating experiences.
It’s clear that the ticketing experience needs focused attention and meaningful improvements from the club - ranging from the ability to transfer tickets via the website or app to fairer resale terms.
In January, over 1,500 Villa supporters participated in a ticketing survey on the FAB website.
On February 24, 2025, we held the first of two ticketing consultation meetings with the club to discuss these issues (meeting notes will be published on this site soon). The second and final meeting is scheduled for March 26, 2025.
The ultimate goal is to see considerable improvements for fans before the start of the 2025/26 season.
Below is a summary report of the ticketing fan survey findings.
